The site originally comprised of 3 properties, a low rise block of apartments, a garage and petrol station. We negotiated the purchase of all three properties to assemble the redevelopment site and commissioned a professional team to submit a planning application for 27 residential apartments. Extensive consultations were carried out with Westminster City Council, Transport for London, London Underground, the Royal Parks and the British Waterways. Rights of light issues were addressed and detailed studies undertaken to demonstrate that the planning authority’s policy on the strategic viewing corridor applying to Regents Park was recognised and respected. The requirement for the provision of social housing was addressed by the acquisition of a nearby site which was developed in partnership with a Registered social landlord.
